Friday Finish: Pineapple Napkins

Happy Friday! It’s nice to be here again and nice to have a finish to share. If you follow me on Instagram, you’ve probably noticed that I have been doing quite a bit of embroidery lately. It seems I am on the road (or in the air) more than I am home, so having a portable project is necessary. EPP and knitting projects continue to keep me company as well, but I am really enjoying this type of stitching as well.

My most recent trip was to Toronto where I picked up the delightful Zakka Embroidery book from The Workroom where, along with friends, I took an indigo printing workshop. (We joked about taking our Crafty Tuesday on the road!)

I selected the pineapple motif for my first project from the book. As a symbol of southern hospitality, what better design to stitch on cloth napkins? These are “ready made” napkins purchased from Target since I already had them on hand and wanted a quick finish.

There are a couple more finished embroidered pieces to share once I get some decent pictures. Now I want to embroider everything!

Happy stitching,
