Friday Finish: Hearts and Rectangles

Our guild’s April BOM is white and gray improv (with specific guidelines) rectangles. We are encouraged to keep one block a month for ourselves for a sampler quilt. I made three blocks and haven’t decided which one to keep for myself.

Like so many of you, I made green hearts to send to Christchurch, New Zealand. Our guild will mail collected blocks as well as quilt top(s). I know at least one top was completed at a recent Sew Day. I hate that healing hearts are needed once again for a community tragedy, but thankful that our guild is responding to the call as many guilds did for us after the Pulse shooting.

Anyone have weekend plans for sewing? My daughter returns to school Sunday after spring break, so family time is on the agenda for me. Knitting a few rows in between other activities may be all the crafting I accomplish this weekend and that’s OK by me!

Happy stitching,
