Gruber happies

Well, I am back from my Gruber's quilt retreat and other travels and, in case you were wondering from my previous post, I WAS able to sew on my featherweight during retreat. Turned out the problem was with my foot pedal so there was a last minute attempt to purchase a new one and have it shipped to Gruber's, but the places I contacted could not get it there in time. Enter quilty friend Lisa to the rescue who read my dilemma on Instagram and offered to overnight her extra foot pedal to me. I already knew Lisa was awesome, but this went beyond! Quilty Friends Rock!

Here's Jewell stitching like a dream.

I can show you the happies I made for my quilt retreat friends now. Who is surprised to learn that I made more wee braw bags and filled them with my enamel pins and Sew She Did sticker?! Feeling confident after making a few, I made these all assembly line style.

It was fun coming up with fabric combos for each friend.

PSA: it doesn't hurt to have an extra "happy" on hand....you never know when you might need one! I was so glad to have brought an extra bag with me and I shipped this off to Lisa before I left Montana.

I received some wonderful happies in return from my generous retreat buddies. It's amazing how each year there is such a variety of amazing gifts and no repeats. Since I did not take a picture of all my happies and they haven't been unpacked yet (on today's agenda), I am borrowing the picture that Doris took.

Look at all these goodies!

I have more to share on our fabulous retreat, so tune in tomorrow ;-))

Happy stitching,
