It's All About Me

So today it's all about me as I turn the big 5-0!

I'm not really sure what's planned for today, but I don't think there will be a cake with 50 candles on it....the smoke detector went off with all the smoke generated from my 45th birthday cake!

I am blessed to be spending my birthday in a place that I love and celebrating with family.

I received the most precious of birthday gifts a few weeks ago, and I will be seeing him again soon!

Not all of my family will be here today to wish me a happy birthday, but my middlest was home from college last week, and we spent some quality time together.  My daughter is already missing him...

I saw my oldest a few weeks ago and will see him again next week....

My sister (who celebrated a younger birthday ten days ago) and I will be together at a quilt retreat this weekend, and we will celebrate our birthdays and the birthdays of other retreaters...can't wait!

Hoping to make a trip "home" and visit my parents later this month...

I celebrated my birthday early with some friends in New York (and the cast of Jersey Boys)!!!!!

That trip was a total blast, and I don't think I ever posted about it because I knew I could not do it justice.  

Victoria was a sweetie and graciously welcomed us into her loft even though she was heading out of town. 

 Well, that's enough about me.....
